The Central West Branch of the Australian Federation of Graduate Women (AFGW) is
inviting Central West female students to apply for its Annual Scholarship prize of $1000.
This is awarded each year to a female student who has attended a Secondary School within 100km of Cowra and intends to enrol in Tertiary Education in 2011.

The AFGW’s purpose is to reward and support rural women in their advancement of education. Four functions are held annually with inspiring guest speakers. Members of AFGW Central West Branch and those of the community who regularly support these functions have been impressed with Mr Philip Bailey speaking on Yehudi Menuhin- prodigy and phenomenon, Julia Andrews of Canowindra :journalist and wine industry participant; Alicia Dawson conducting a Pilot Study on managing children with anxiety and depression ; and Christine McIntosh :local woman , lawyer .
